|
|
Hello,
I'm going to be moving to Korea next month. I have recently got a nerve injury that may require surgery, but I don't know if I will be able to get the op done before I leave.
Does anybody have any advise on this situation? Should I bring medical records about what I've done in the UK?
I assume the hospitals over there are good quality and I don't have to worry about having something done out there.
Thanks |

Yeah, bring as many records as you can, including x-rays, if possible. I've had 3 surgeries this year, and I was impressed with the quality of care I received.
Make sure your Korean health insurance is cleared before you go to the hospital, though. |

That's comforting to know because I was considering the same thing for a different problem. Was there a hospital that people have a had significant success and happiness at?
Anybody got LASIK done in Korea? |

Eye surgery is very common in Korea, and many people report great success with it on this website. I won't do it myself, because my eyes have become extraordinarily dry since moving to Korea. |

My wife had back surgery about a year ago. We were satisfied with the hospital, after care and follow up.
I think the key to having successful and good experience is being comfortable with the Dr's and hospital. It took us 3 times to find one we were comfortable with. Good luck. |

My first two surgeries were at Donggook University Hospital in Cheonan and the third was at Seoul National University Hospital. I have nothing but good things to say about the treatment I received at both places. |

Ooh good to know. I had my LASIK consult just recently and within the last year playing sports with kids at work or with my little cousins I've had several instances where my glasses had been broken. I'll certainly think long and hard about getting it done over there. |

I had knee surgery here a couple of years ago. Bring your records and find a good hospital and you should be alright. |
