To stop a habit, a good idea is to set a date ahead of time, and then tell others about your plan. Picking a date ahead of time makes the commitment more serious, and solidifies the goal in your mind. Telling others makes it a bigger deal as well and can give you the extra push to not fail.
By the end of this month, you will not see me on the board anyone. I'm taking an at least two month break. |

Agreed 100%. I used to work as a counselor to help people quit tobacco products. Two of the most important things we stressed on people were to set a specific quit date and to tell other people to receive support. |
