I just contacted Air Canada here in Korea and they informed me that I'm NOT on the passenger list for my flight.
I tried contacting Zenith, but they told me the man who's in charge has not been in his office for a few days. The gave me his cell number. I called it. No surprise, he didn't pick up.
Luckily for me, my flight isn't until December. I have a few months to hopefully (fingers crossed) get to the bottom of this.
I'll keep posting my updates. I have a feeling it's going to be hard to track him down |

The office guy told me that crap as well. Go into the office and air your displeasure. Tell them that you'll be a regular visitor over the coming days/weeks/months until you get a full refund. Email them with the heading "I'm going to report you to the police if you don't reply", also CC Korean Air.
The office will tell you something like we don't work for him or its a seperate company. Ignore them. Make a nusiance of yourself. That should get his attention.
The sooner you start this process the better. |

Still no answer from him.
I visited his office this morning and spoke with a lady who shares the office with him. She said she has not seen him in almost two weeks.
There were numerous post-it notes on his monitor asking him to pay.
The games have begun. |

The lady who shares his office?
Just checking my phone records and he didn't call me back from his office phone but from his cell number.
You should have taken his computer. |

There are two companies sharing one office space.
What's the cell phone number you have for him? I was given this number, 010-9011-5781. |

Same number. Try calling late at night, around 11.30pm. |

I'm guessing his scam went something like this:
He stole some money and was using incoming ticket money to pay for people who had already reserved. (like a pozi scheme).
When not enough money is coming in to pay for the people who are ready to leave, he pulls the bait and switch.
Now that he owes a ton, and no more money is coming in, the scheme is collapsing. i wouldn't be surprised if he took off for Thailand. |

The girl who was scammed out of 10million said in her video that she had an eticket and everything. The problem was that the travel agent never paid the airline so the day before the flight the airline cancelled the eticket? Is this right? Do airlines issue etickets before receiving full payment?
If this is the case, I'm not sure how to protect yourself fully, unless of course you purchase directly from the airline at ridiculous prices?
Or am I not understanding this correctly? |

He sent me what he told me was a ticket but I had used Thai Airways a few times before as I have lived in Thailand and I knew it wasn't.
It was a reservation and the tickets had not been issued. When I emailed Thai Airways they confirmed this so I got back onto Zenith and eventually he sent me an E-ticket. I did notice the cost for the ticket was 300k more than he was charging me for my actual flight. |

Girl who got scammed out of 10 mil could have hired some thugs for a fee to get the money back for her. Yes they have that service in Korea and it is only to start to grow in popularity. It might not be to late for her either. I'd suggest violence to anyone here in Korea as Koreans are incredibly soft and crumble when confronted. Thats why they are so cowardly and passive aggressive. |

I agree. If someone had $10,000 of my cash I wouldn't leave it in the hands of the Korean police. |

What the hell is wrong with you? you suggest violence to anyone here? people like you are gonna meet the wrong person and get your @$$ whooped, and are the reason why koreans think negative towards foreigners. I suggest some growing up is in order. |

And the grown up response is let the police deal with it, and then watch as the police let him continue to run a business and rob people for months afterwards without ever repaying anyone. How very reasonable. |

The hiring of thugs is common practice in Korea, not so much in our home countries. Did you know that Korean banks , yes banks, will have thugs come around to your house if you don't pay up. Google "Hanhwa CEO" to see how elite Koreans deal with situations. When in Rome. |
