Does anyone know any place in Seoul to get jars/cans of sweet & sour sauce? I've never seen it in any of the foreign food places.

Lotte Mart has it, at least the one near me does. In the imported food section.

I think you could ask a Chinese joint in Korea to give you some. I don't think it would last too long. Tangsuyook is the name.

I dont know about Seoul, but the Homeplus nearest me sells a Tesco brand of both sweet and sour sauce, and a chow mein sauce as well. Always find it in the same area they keep the other imported sauces.

That said this is a new Homeplus built next to some very expensive and new apartments in Daegu. I dont recall ever seeing it at any of the other Homeplus stores in the city.

Do not buy the sweet and sour sauce at homeplus, etc, unless it is a name brand you've had before and liked. I've bought at least 5 different ones from homeplus, e-mart, etc, to try out, all have sucked. Tang-su-yuek sauce doesn't compare either. Now when I go back to Canada I buy 5 big squeeze bottles that last me till my next trip home.
