the scooter is a bit beat up cosmetically speaking, but she's got it where it counts! the scooter dealer would only offer 250 for it [i bought it used last year for 500] so i'd like to get 350 for it. two helmets and a wheel lock are included in the price.

as for the guitar, it's a stratocaster imitation, produced by a company called been. i bought it new last year for 150 bucks and it's in great shape, so i think 100 is fair. i'll also throw in a tuner, a soft case, an instrument cable, and a new set of strings.

i'm willing to travel a bit to deliver the guitar, seoul is certainly not too far for me. PM me if interested.

i'm sorry but are u serious that your dealer offered you THAT much for it?

i bought a 50cc scooter for 300,000won and when i asked the dealer to buy it back, they offered 50,000

50cc scooters are worth absolutely nothing if you sell them back to the dealer. unless it was brand new when u bought it, but you said it was cosmetically unattractive

If it's 50cc then AFAIK you don't need papers.

I PM'd this guy on behalf of a friend who was very interested. Sent along her contact info, no response. Not sure what happened to him, but I'm not sure the bike is for sale anymore, or what the deal is....

AFAYK - YOU'RE WRONG.

Anything over 45cc needs to be registered, needs to be insured, needs a license to drive. A standard license is fine for anything up to a 124.5cc. Above that, you need the motorcycle endorsement.

People, DO NOT BELIEVE what you hear about not needing a license/insurance/registration. Think about it - would someone be allowed to drive a vehicle that goes 100 kmh without insurance? Would they let someone use a vehicle that can kill someone without registering it?

It is the law here - sure, many Koreans ignore it, and many foreigners do too. These are people I refer to as "idiots." I cannot stress this enough. Learn the law, follow the law. It WILL save your butt.

So... you DON'T have the papers?

I'd love to be there when you get busted, to see the look on your face when the court gives you the 2 million won fine for no license, the 500k fine for no registration, and the other 1-2 million fine for no insurance.

"But, your honor, I'm a foreigner!"

Oh well.
