I'm talking about a souvenier of course. Wish I'd gotten something from Itaweon, other than the 35 shot glasses and tons of Kilkeny and Guiness beer glasses. A sign would've been really cool to ship home.

I got a few other things. I took some posters from the subway, a few KTX ads, a cool one that tells people how not to act on the subway, including groping women, and once when I was pulling down a KTX poster, a Korean dude asked me what I was doing. When I told him that I wanted to keep some posters of the KTX and others for souveniers from Korea, he told me he worked for KTX, gave me his number, and then gave me some really COOL KTX stuff in 'n scale' - models - very nice guy. Bought him some bbq for that.

What else did I leave with? Let me think...oh yes, there was the coffee mug from Krispy Kreme muhwahaha, I'm so bad. Then, one time I was doing privates, (I am an F5) I boldly asked my student (top dog in SK energy) for a souvenier. He made a phone call, and in comes his secretary with a big box! Inside the box was one of those cool wine bottles with a ship inside of it. Very cool - you know all companies have these gifts that they give to visitors or people they want to impress. All you have to do is ASK! They were so nice...
I scored some other stuff as well, but I have to add more later... tell me what you got!!!

Clothes, a few CD-ROM's, a few books sent out by surface mail. A 10 inch computer and an IPad2, some money and a REALLY bad attitude about this hellhole country! Christmas can't get here fast enough for me!

A lot of memories, not much work experience I could use, tailored suits, some cash and cans of bondeggi as gag gifts.

Hi unposter, not really just thought maybe we could share stories of things we took, little stupid things that bring a memory of that never boring - land of the morning calm. Hey a friend of mine got a sign in Korean that spelled out 'fitness center' back in the 90's and it's decorating his garage right now. Razz

You know those funny threads that make you laugh and keep coming back? That's what I was hoping for.

EDIT: The fitness center had gone out of business. Wink
