To believe the moon landings were a hoax you would need to have the kind of mind which sees the almost impossible as likely, and the likely as almost impossible........in other words, you're wired up wrong.

That's just a nice way of saying you're f'ing retarded!

No. So easy to hoax it, and so cheap. Seems logical to fake it.

Let's be reasonable, and all the people that were involved in the hoax are going to stay silent?

What is the likelihood of a U.S. government conspiracy?

It depends on what you think about UFOs, JFK, 9/11.

I agree and might add that I find it hard to believe they had the technology to accomplish such a feet in the late 60s. But I too will stop short of calling it a hoax.

It is possible to make it to the moon without great technological super strides in innovation like the ipod, and with no more than the simple primitive skills needed to make things like the atomic bomb.

Those 60s simpletons. They may not have had our level of impressive sophistication, but they had a MacGyver-like homespun ingenuity now rarely to be found.

Bless them.

Technology of the 60's is highly underrated and largely misunderstood to be primitive just because there weren't any personal computers the size of your tea mat. What we have today is 'faster and better', but it's relatively the same.

It's not like they went up in a wooden ship powered by gerbils and Bender. A rocket ship is a rocket ship.

This.

My 7th grade science teacher showed us this on a field trip. How is it adults can deny something blatantly obvious to 13 year olds around the country?

You have to be careful about conspiracy theorists. They spend so much time focused on a subject, they can come up with some pretty convincing arguments. I was a 9/11 truther for about a week back in university. That first Loose Change video was really good. When you get deep into it, everything they point out starts to make sense.

Then you have to take steps back from it. You have to hear the opposing views and see which side has the better evidence. Lastly you have to remember the old quote "any plan relying on the cooperation of more than 3 people is doomed to failure." Basically, people can't keep their mouth shut or keep juicy secrets for dirt. If it really was a hoax, somebody on the inside somewhere would have come forward with some damning evidence that convinces everyone. We just can't keep secrets that well. This is why I know 9/11 wasn't an inside job, we really did land on the moon, and there are no aliens at Roswell.

I do not believe any of the moon landings were faked, BUT I do believe the US govt and NASA collaborated on a plan B involving faked pictures should the initial moon landing failed. The faked images looked so good that NASA went ahead and released them as 'authentic'. The faked photos have cast doubt on the veracity of the actual moon landing.
