Is it just me or are national papers using interns for their irresponsible journalism and unbacked sensationalist articles? I don't know about you guys, but I'm starting to see how many hits these irresponsible articles get and the horrible, supporting "journalism." Does anyone else get the impression that this whole "Intern Report" by-line crap is somewhat deceptive and a cop out?

Teacher accused of attempted rape on ex-student

Americans named as the coolest nationality

I could probably list hundreds more...."Intern Reporter" seems to be the greatest means of distancing the paper, while also participating in a great deal of mis-journalism...

At least the second article links the page it's ripping off. The first article includes no sources what so ever and could simply be gossip.

Man in a distant land (that has nothing to do with our readers) kills 5 people cuz' he couldn't be a hired, governmental assassin.

What the hell is all this crap? It's as if they're saying to foreigners:

Yeah, the number 1 National Newspaper is just a joke. I've stopped tuning into this crappy, sad excuse of a newspa..oh...tabloid.

Why does the English editor put such nice headlines for such trashy sh*t? HERALD...YOUR HIT COUNTS ARE NOT REFLECTING YOUR READERS' INTEREST! JUST THE HEADLINE!!! THE ARTICLES ARE CRAP! WHY MAKE THESE POOR INTERNS BELIEVE THAT THEIR HIT COUNTS REFLECT THEIR JOURNALISTIC PROWESS!????

I'm sorry, but when a newspaper's most read articles dressed with well-created headlines, but really worthless garbage written by interns, I get the feeling something's not right. Rolling Eyes

Nevermind. I realize the problem is deeper than I originally thought.

In this article, apparently a teacher bit a student while simultaneously yelling and cursing at the student.

I stand corrected: the entire newsthing (it ain't a paper no mo' fo me) is wack.

Interns or not, I do not at all understand why this one isn't headline news around the world:

Americans named as the coolest nationality

Confused
