I do not believe any of the moon landings were faked, BUT I do believe the US govt and NASA collaborated on a plan B involving faked pictures should the initial moon landing failed. The faked images looked so good that NASA went ahead and released them as 'authentic'. The faked photos have cast doubt on the veracity of the actual moon landing.

The crazy is strong in this thread.

Agreed.

I sincerely hope most of these posters are just "playing along", but I have my doubts.

If you have questions about the moon landing get out your telescope. Dial into the sea of tranquility look for trash and the American flag and the Lunar vehicle that was used. Go to a observatory if you have to. That will answer your questions.

Is there a link for this? I've googled it, but all the links I scanned claimed the 'flag', 'trash' etc. were too small to be seen by telescope - even the Hubble. The only evidence apparently was mirrors left by the astronauts from which light rays had been reflected.

This is what makes me skeptical, because the Hubble can see 10-15 BILLION LIGHT YEARS AWAY, literally.
You're telling it can't see a flag and other things left behind by the astronauts on the moon only 250,000 miles away?

BS.

I can see stars millions of miles away. However, I can't see the smoothie machine in the Buy The Way Mart that's only 100 meters from my home.

The Hubble is picking up bright light.

Thanks for clearing that up - at least a little ... So it's not the case that you can simply point a telescope at the location on the moon from earth. Rather, only a NASA vehicle in orbit of the moon has been able to take the pics. If they would now just be kind enough to blow them up to a clearly identifiable level .... - although I don't think some will be convinced unless it could actually be spotted from earth.

Enough from me ... I think some are still having a pretty good laugh over the whole business even after all these years

This^

The Hubble is a telescope, not a camera.

The lunar capsule that was orbiting the moon was too small to be seen by he Mount Polamar telescope.

No....not fake.
You would have a thousand or more people involved in a cover up...mission control folks, engineers, military folks, upper levels of NASA and the White House...the list is endless....and not one person involved in the space program has come forward to say it was a fake not to mention the Russians, Chinese...

There's a reason we never went back to the moon.

The funny thing is that the people who claimed the Moon landing was a hoax said they were "skeptics." They obviously do not know the meaning of what it means to be skeptical...
