| Land speculation is nothing new in Korea. It makes you wonder if some corrupt officials are using their influence to pressure these people to sell- after all, if they now remove the restriction against selling then there will be a flood of sellers. If they sold the properties one-by-one they would be able to charge higher prices, but if there are a larger group of sellers at one time then the prices will be much lower. Then the speculators will be able to buy low and sell high. |
