The three days of Chuseok are similar to the Christmas holidays back home: tons of shopping and travelling on day 1 (Xmas Eve), nothing open on day 2 spent with family (Christmas Day, Chuseok, today!), more travel and shops open again on day 3 (Boxing Day). Government offices and banks closed on all three days, shops open days 1 and 3.

Today is Chuseok, meaning it's the 2nd day of the holiday. But it won't be on the same date next year because it's based on the lunar calendar.

Did you really not know until yesterday? Nobody even mentioned it to you at your workplace? Didn't you wonder why you had Monday and Tuesday (and possibly Wednesday) off?

Sounds more like Thanksgiving, with the exception of the first day which people celebrate differently.

I don't work. I've never used meters for anything.
