Do they exist here? In the last 10 years on the road I have NEVER seen one and when I show photos of my motorhome back home the kids are amazed at a house on wheels.

Yes, they're available for rent. I've seen a few (very few) on the road with decals saying they are rentals. Best to find someone with good Korean skills to help you search Daum and Naver.

Ask a Korean to help you with an online search and you will find some. They do exist, I've seen them Smile but since there seem to be very few here, it's not so easy to find them on English websites.
Going from Moran Stn. to Gwangju somewhere along the road on the right side there is a place with a few of them (3 maybe) parked outside. I can't remember the name.
Recently my wife found one while browsing the internet for a car rental. They are expensive. I don't remember what exact price she mentioned but it was around 200,000/day. In the slow season it can be cheaper but I can't imagine you could get it for less than 150/day if you include insurance as well. These are not big ones just 4 person or so sized. Might be better to rent a normal car and get a tent. Or car and motels.
