I have a Macbook. I have a new flat screen TV with HDMI capabilities. I've looked into it a bit and believe I need a mini display converter/cable thingy. Does anyone know where I can find one (Yongsan electronic store, I presume?), and how much it might cost?

And will I need any other cables/products??

Here's a mini displayport to HDMI adapter for 10,000 won (+2,500 won delivery) on gmarket:
http://item.gmarket.co.kr/detailview/Item.asp?goodscode=212165505&pos_shop_cd=SH&pos_class_cd=111111111&pos_class_kind=T&keyword_order=%b9%cc%b4%cf%b5%f0%bd%ba%c7%c3%b7%b9%c0%cc%c6%f7%c6%ae+hdmi&keyword_seqno=421207930&search_keyword=%B9%CC%B4%CF%B5%F0%BD%BA%C7%C3%B7%B9%C0%CC%C6%F7%C6%AE%20hdmi. It says that it carries sound, too, so if you bought this (and your Macbook mini displayport supports sound), then all you would need would be an HDMI cable to attach to your TV. There are probably other cheaper options, but this is the first one I saw.

Here's a mini displayport to HDMI cable for 18,000 won + 2,500 won delivery. I didn't see that it carries sound though, so it probably doesn't.

If your TV has a USB input on the side, you may be able to load .avi or .mkv files onto a USB drive and run them through the tv itself. My g/f's TV does that.

does it have an input for DVI? There is a direct cable from Mac that sells it.

Unfortunately the cable is about 2 inches long, you will need an extension. Confused

if its only HDMI, I think there are conversion cables also.
