Hmmm....this thread has made me wonder. What do people mean exactly when they say "friend"? People they hang out with? Feel close to for some reason? Someone you can call in an emergency to help?

I admit that most (if not all) of my close friends are Korean...but this is mostly due to the fact that Koreans STAY and foreigners LEAVE! I've had one Korean that I've been friends with for nearly 8 years. Not many foreigners have been here that long!

If I have a problem or an emergency, for sure I'll call a Korean friend!

Does that mean I don't hang out with foreigners? Of course not. But considering that there are 47 million Koreans and HOW many foreigners... the opportunity for being friends with Koreans is MUCH higher!
