What's the attraction of atheism anyway? I'll choose non-creationist non-literalist Christianity over atheism any day.
This guy's thesis is wrong. Yes, Perry, Santorum, and Bachmann are running on Jesus. But Romney, Huntsman, Paul, and Cain are more about free markets. Also, Obama is not as socialist as some would like to claim.
BTW, I'm pretty sure we've had an atheist President out of the 44 we've had. |

Well it sure didn't take long for his hypocrisy to rear up in that video. He first comments that he wouldn't care how fiscally responsible a candidate is so long as that candidate touts Christianity as an ideal, and then less than a minute later goes on to whine about a dearth of openly atheist candidates. And not only would he not vote for a professed Christian, he goes on to claim that simply believing the Bible is anything other than fiction is enough to warrant ridicule. The same tired, fallacious criticisms of the Bible that follow are unsurprising given those first few minutes of stupidity.
This guy's just another anti-theist joke. |

Science is useful for establishing facts that are in turn useful or interesting to people, but it doesn't establish the truth. What establishes the truth? Who knows? Atheist interpretations are dependant on culture and personal values the same way religious interpretations are. |

I'm not trying to be provocative here. They seem the same to me. Both are theoretical constructs that don't necessarily have anything to do with the real world. It's at least arguable that they both have something to do with how one may wish the world were. |

The difference is: Perry, Santorum, and Bachmann are threats to the principle (if not necessarily the operation) of the separation of church and state. The other four are not. |

Neither religion nor a belief in free markets are magic. And my opposition to commingling church and state has nothing to do with the underlying validity of religious doctrine. Try again. |

I think we are going to have to agree to disagree here. As far as I can see, both are the same. 'I believe what I believe because that is what I believe.' You are entitled to that. However, you cannot expect me to accept your beliefs as 'facts'. They are just your beliefs. |

Look at this country since it has distanced itself from its Christian foundation. |
