Nah.. i don't post in the topics where I know little. That is why I haven''t posted in the evolution vs. creationism. (sic)
On this topic, I do know a fair bit. Having gone to Korean nightclubs a fair many times, I feel it is pretty safe to say that Ryleeys is correct in his statement. I have witnessed, many drunk foreigners take off their shirts and jump onto the stage of the nightclubs or grind on the Korean girls only to be pulled away by security.
I should say, that Foreigners in question tend to be English teachers and not military since the vast majority of soldiers are not allowed in Korean nightclubs anymore. |

Of course. But in situations like this it is important to actively fight against any kind of discrimination, no matter how logical the thinking behind it may be. I don't support this necessarily, but I do understand the logic behind it. To get more of an idea, just ask Jensen; he hates discrimination. The thought that somewhere, someone might be stopping someone else from doing SOMETHING, just gets him all a-tizzy. I don't feel that strongly about it, myself.  |

I ain't got no problems with discussion, it's the constant bickering and the need for Corporal to insult me (accusing me of "ranting") that I have issues with. It seems obvious to me that she and I would be better off keeping our distance from each other... I'm probably as much at fault as she is with the issues that arise between us. But her tone in her posts and then the insulting sentences irk me and I don't appreciate them.
I don't understand how I can be warned (and threatened with being banned from posting) by a moderator for posting "Yay! Lemon soju rules!" as a useless post and yet insulting and trolling seem to go unnoticed... |

I think the whole issue of wether the way foreigners are treated badly here is one of those things that will never be resolved. Sometimes mistrust is warranted- sort of, other times it isn't.
As a side note, when I saw the thread's title, I thought it was about this blog entry It's very funny, but sure to offend someone. |

Despite what you think I really don't have a problem with you personally. If you feel attacked lately it may just be that your recent posts have all had something in them which I felt the need to address. I don't see what's so wrong with that. It happens to all of us. It looks like I'm following you around looking for trouble, but that's not what's really happening. I'm a mother and a wife and a full-time teacher. I do not have that much extra time on my hands.
To that end I will agree to the truce since you obviously feel that this is the case. |

Honestly, I don't know... personally, I am rather happy to have been introduced to lemon soju... however, one of the mods took offense at this and told me that if I posted similarly meaningless posts again, I would have my account locked. |

I heard something about mango soju one time... haven't experienced it though.
However, what brought about my post about lemon soju was that on Friday night, at a favorite bar of mine, a large group of foreigners and Koreans (that I do particularly like) put back some large quantities of this nectar of the gods. |

I used to think dancing with no shirt oon was totally acceptable behavior, when I was like, 22. We even used to jump up and down and bounce off eachother in a huge sweaty mass. remember the "house of pain" anybody?
How times change.
Anyone with his shirt off acting like a lout here is usually some drunken newbie who thinks Korean girls are going to be turned on by it. Maybe they do, I don't know..but from what I've seen, no...

If you think lemon soju is nectar of the gods you must have been drinking horse piss up to this point. Not that I have anything against lemon soju but come on! That's like saying Bacardi Breezers are the acme of high class drinks.
