Not sure if you were talking about me or not, but If you were . . . I mentioned that I find Chinese women more attractive than Korean women, but I never said anything about easy access. Not sure where you got the physical and personality defects from, either. The whole "couldn't find women in home country, went to Korea" thing is just a myth, anyway.
If I were to base my move on the beauty of the women from a particular country, I would have definitely left Korea after the first year. I would have moved to Eastern Europe, maybe Southeast Asia, perhaps some country in South America, who knows? |

Because you weren't being specific with whose posts you were initially addressing. You just said, "some of these posts." That's why I wrote, "Not sure if you were talking about me or not . . . " |
I was talking about this board in general including the OP. Although it does make the men hear sound a bit desperate and pathetic so that gives me a good laugh.  |

Ribena, you're exaggerating the emphasis placed on whether the women are attractive or not. Big deal, it was mentioned as a factor. Get over it. I am more concerned about pollution and general cleanliness. As for sights and attractions, one can easily check info about this on their own.

As far as cleanliness, I had a bit of culture shock with the slit pants. Some little kids had a big slit in their pants so that they can bend over and take a dump in public. Not kidding.
One bit of funny culture shock is the pulled up shirts. When hot, some Chinese dudes will lift up their shirts and walk around with their big pot bellies sticking out. |

Recently I started thinking about China a little since I have a Chinese friend in Shanghai, and I'm having so much trouble finding a job in Korea. But I'm wondering if looking for a job only in Shanghai would be the same as looking for a job only in Seoul.
But I'm really set on Korea after enjoying it so much my first year, and having friends there. |

| Is the reason people are having so much trouble finding a job because of the cities that they choose? I do not want to be in Seoul and would not mind being in a rural city. I would love to be in a city that has around 75,000-100,000 people. |

Nope, I don't have any experience in Korea. I like smaller cities though. I am not a bar or club person and I like to sleep early. I am 22 years old, but I do not drink. The big cities are not really for me. |

Thanks for the advice, and of course I do want to visit Seoul at one point. I wonder if I would be able to get a job if I am not too particular about the location. I hope they will look at me a little more than others because of my Education degree. Although, I am not really sure what they are looking for in a candidate. |

most smaller cities are devoid of younger adults(especially female).
They're usually similar to florida retirement communities. The whole concept of small town culture is heavily based on elderly interest since most young people try to live in a major city ASAP. |

I'm not interested in a relationship there. I would like to have an international teaching experience. I already have a little experience in America, and I would like to try another area. If that means a rural city in Korea, then I am in. I would like a medium sized city if possible, but my main goal is just getting a job (hopefully a trustworthy one). |

Yeah, the cities of around 100,000 at home can be rather vibrant, with lots of independent cultural happenings. The smaller Korean cities I've visited have tended to be a bit dirty and dead, while still being just as crowded as Seoul and the satellite cities (though a bit easier to get out of).

Wanting an "international teaching experience" is extremely vague. The point is that smaller Korean cities are often ugly, boring places where your actual experience could be rather limited. That said, some of the smaller coastal cities are kind of nice. |

Do you think its a good idea to listen to anyone who claims that any country is full of "ugly women"(unless they are talking about America)? I've visited China and most part weren't that clean but the country wasn't particularly filthy. Most of it seemed clean enough. There were lots of attractive women and some not so attractive. The internet wasn't great in some places but I used wi-fi in big shopping malls in Shanghai and Beijing and it was pretty good there. |
And you expect to be taken seriously? |
