I'm looking for a teaching job for November 2011. I would like to work for a public school, possibly an after school program. Can someone recommend a place or a good recruiting agency? Thanks! |

Are you looking for a job in Seoul? Then I would say wait until March. Very few public school jobs are going to become available in the interim.
I'm not sure what recruiters to contact. But I saw a public school in Bundang for an October 18th start being advertised. (I can send you the link for it but I need to find it).
Some jobs openings will possibly become available in the next few weeks.
Sorry I can't be more helpful. But the prime hiring period has just finished. |

If you're looking for a public school, you start applying now for starts in March 2012. It's possible to get public school positions mid-semester, but there aren't that many. Hagwons hire year round. |

ATC recruiting is now hiring for Busan for Oct, Nov, and Dec start dates. I would google their website and apply through them. It's possible to get a public school job, but not really close to seoul unless your in country. |

I prefer being outside of Seoul. I may have to wait until next year because I still have not received my paperwork, but am hoping it will come any day now. I think there are still some availible, if not I can work at a hagwon. |

Try many recruiters and see what's the best option.

This is the best answer. You can only use 1 recruiter to make your application (unless they have changed that rule) but you can check them out and see which one is the best fit for you. |

Don't use reach to teach that's for sure. |

Although I haven't actually applied through him but while I was going through the process he. John Kellenberger ([email protected]), was immensely helpful, was organised and prompt when I needed him. Unfortunately I had to withdraw my app for personal reason. |

I would suggest applying to as many as possible. I did a lot of researching, and applied to at least 10-15 different recruiters until I found the right fit for me. |

Yup U.S. teaching market is tanking. I heard professors are even getting evaluated and also they might consider getting rid of tenure after 3 year rule. I think that 3 year rule should be taken out in some states because teacher might cruise by and not teach.
Definitely check out a lot of recruiters. It's a supply market.
