I'm filling out my EPIK application, and it says that all documents that I send to them will not be returned to me. Really?! After I go through all this work to get an FBI CBC and the apostille they won't give it back to me?! I panicked a bit after I read that and I'm still thinking about how I will go about this. I am applying for EPIK but at the same time I am applying to hagwon jobs. I sent my documents out to get the FBI CBC about a week ago. I called the FBI CBC office to ask if I can get 2 CBC's instead of one. I was told that since I already mailed my documents in, there is no way to change the number of CBC's I requested. To get more than one CBC I have to send all the documents in again with a new fingerprint card!
So in about 2 months, when I finally have my apostilled FBI CBC, I need to know whether I'm going to stay with EPIK or take an offer from a hagwon. This really disappointed me. How have others dealt with this situation? Do you usually order 2 copies of the FBI CBC? |

No, I haven't sent in any documents yet. I will get 2 apostilled copies of my diploma.
I'm on a bit of time crunch. Most of the EPIK positions will be filled by the time I get my FBI CBC submitted to them. If I start the process all over again, that means less options for me. A hagwon recruiter has some jobs available to me that start in December. It's in Busan, which is where I really want to go. He said I would have to submit my documents a month before the job starts.
If I was more confident about EPIK, I would have no problem giving them my one and only FBI CBC. But I'm not sure if EPIK is the best deal for me. Hagwons seem to have a lot to offer too. |
