Anyone know of a website where I can find a schedule of races in South Korea?
Similar to the Active.com website in the states.
Any help would be much appreciated. I need to sign up for something before I start eating too much. |

Here's something scheduled in Andong.
http://www.admarathon.co.kr/
Sorry I can't translate the Korean but from what I have read in the various posters throughout Andong is that there will be a 5k, 10k and a half-marathon (not sure if they are doing a full marathon) so take your pick.
It will be held Sunday November 13th.
I will be leaving Andong soon so I won't be able to do it. |

Nike's hosting a 10k run at the end of October. I think it's 20K to join. |

There is also a "necktie marathon" run by Guro-gu slated for Sept. 30 (Friday). The rule is that you must wear a necktie while running.

I use this site....
http://www.roadrun.co.kr/schedule/list.php
It is in Korean but still easy enough to use. Just select the month and year and it gives you a pretty good list. Enroll the help of a korean co-worker to register and Bob's your uncle! |

or even better if in seoul join a group like seoul flyers and they will take care of race registration for you, some races out of town we get buses from the race organizers or charter or own for like 10,000 won/person
we also have a beginners group starting november 5
btw if anybody is interested i'm thinking of doing the seoul international in march and am looking for somebody to do long runs with me at a very slow pace (7:00/k) |
