Hey everyone. I'm currently living in Daegu. I really love it in Korea and want to stay another year. If I can, I'd like to try and get a position in Seoul. I know this can be difficult even from within Korea these days, but I figure it's worth a shot.
So I'd like to ask, if anyone is planning on leaving a hagwon around Feb or even March, if you could let know that would be much appreciated. I'm just looking to get in touch with some schools that would need to hire around that time. I think that would be a better idea that going through a recruiter.
Thanks everyone,
Doug |

I would get my documents ready by then and work with recruiters. It is a perfect time to get a March position. You may have earlier deadlines for public schools. I never met those and found adequate jobs along the way.
If a school is eager to hire you because they can cut the recruiter costs, then think of the other reasons why they might want to cut costs. It could come back on you.
I prefer finding those schools with funding and can pay me monthly. They have no problem paying a recruiter fee to hire a teacher. |
