I hope she had an unlimited phone plan. Apparently the woman possessed the gift of gab, but just didn't know how to wrap it up!

Dutch woman calls ex-boyfriend 65,000 times

AP Thu, Sep 8, 2011

AMSTERDAM (AP) Dutch prosecutors are charging a 42-year-old woman with stalking after she allegedly called her ex-boyfriend 65,000 times in the past year.

The 62-year-old victim from The Hague filed a police complaint in August due to the persistent phone calls. Police arrested the suspected stalker Monday, seizing several cell phones and computers from her home in Rotterdam.

Hague prosecution spokeswoman Nicolette Stoel said Thursday the woman argued to judges at a preliminary hearing she had a relationship with the man and the number of calls she placed to him wasn't excessive. The man denied they had a relationship.

The court ordered her not to contact him again.

Hm, that's 178 times per day, every single day; or (assuming she slept at nights) around 15 times per hour, year round. I'd call that a bit excessive...

(and I thought a Thai ex-girlfriend I once had who called me like 100 times in a week was nuts)...

As a teen, I once had an eight-hour conversation with a girlfriend. After about four hours, I tried to end it by saying, I've gotta take a bath now," but she said, That's OK. I'll wait." Shocked A half hour later, she was still on the other end!

Clearly, in reality he loved the attention. He was practically leading her on!

^What's especially wierd is that she just may be. Some women who act in a very suggestive and forward way in social settings are actually not so hot-to-trot but are hurting inside for some reason and just want attention - but not of the sexual variety (even though that is how they instigate the initial attraction). I'm sure we've all met the type.

65,000 phone calls in one year? It's fortunate that female serial killers are exceedingly rare.

Don't know if this woman was smart enough, but you can setup your computer to keep ringing the same phone number.

i did it once when i was a kid and got in a lot of trouble. There was a contest on the radio all night, if you could ask a question and the DJ couldn't answer it, you got a prize. I got tired of hitting redial so i rigged the computer to keep calling. Unfortunately i fell asleep.

The computer continued calling the radio station after the contest was over. The DJ got really pissed, called the police. around midnight they were finally able to get a call through to our house in between calls. It was the DJ cussing up a storm at my dad. Not good.
