A man who burned to death in his home died as a result of spontaneous combustion, an Irish coroner has ruled.

I had always thought spontaneous combustion was a joke. Maybe it still is.

I think the label 'spontaneous combustion' is unfortunate. They should just use something generic, like: 'unexplained cause', 'unknown cause' instead. Although this from the link has a certain appeal: Mr Green said he doubted explanations centred on divine intervention.

I thought this was a joke about the Irish temper.
I've seen my mom almost combust several times. Luckily the wine calmed the flame just in time.
