From what students told me at my school, this is not unheard of in Korea and used to a standard rule everywhere. It's changing now, but Korea is pretty conservative when it comes to PDA.

Kissing on campus=expulsion

Molesting a disabled schoolmate= not expulsion just "Keep away from her".

i am almost offended by this... i am the biggest ass kisser of korea but COME ON

this PDA bs really irks me...

anyway, the thing with molesting mentally disabled kids... while i do think their punishments should be a lot tougher, they are like WAYYYY younger

high school students are literally at the most stressful time of their academic lives. like that is WHEN they are expected to academically perform. i get the feeling that they wouldn't have gotten expelled if they were kissing in middle school. a LOT of middle school kids are always chilling outside the apartments at night... makes u wonder since u know a lot of kids lose their virginities in middle school, WHERE exactly are they doing it??

That's ridiculous. I hope the kids (well, not really kids any more to be honest) had no difficulty finding another school and this didn't f up their education Mad

Lol. Their lives are now ruined because they got caught smooching. This is a country where old people yell at couples who kiss in public.

The question is, was the policy common knowledge and had there been any previous warnings?

If so, that's a crappy rule, but it is a rule and if it was common knowledge, well...

But to expel them on some dust-covered rule or without prior warnings is just ridiculous.

I guess it also depends on what kind of kissing...was it an innocent smooch or was it sucking face?

That and it also makes a difference if there is on-campus housing.
