I will be arriving in about a month, possibly less, to teach at the GnB school in Eobang-dong, Gimhae. Can anyone tell me what to expect from the city? I am a first timer, so I am hoping it is a somewhat laid back place. |

Gimhe is a satellite city of Busan, if you like near a subway you can go skiing in winter and go to the beach in summer. and you have an international airport close to your house.

There are no subways in Gimhae, but there is a brand new elevated light rail line that will take you to the Sassong Bus terminal and subway station in Busan for 3,000 won. I live in a small town not far from Gimhae and I go there often to shop at the Asian Markets. There's also a decent Indian Restaurant where I get take-out. There are a lot of foreign factory workers in Gimhae from other parts of Asia, so it is quite multicultural. It has nice bike and walking trails along the river, a large park with a lake, a huge sports complex, ice rink, good shopping, theatres, etc. You might like it there. |

It's kind of culturally isolated but there are a lot of foreigners there to hang out with if you like drinking. |
