So my girlfriend did in home toy parties for about a year and half. We are thinking she should not put that on her application, but it does leave a large blank space on her work history. I was thinking we just make up another similar job (like working retail sales). Its not the most honest thing, but she was working during that time. I wouldn't want something like selling sex toys , or having an empty work history to hurt her chances

*facepalm*

She has worked with kids, and done various volunteer work. It's not the only thing on her resume.

Not sure if you want to follow up her "working with sex toys & working with children" in the same post.

A surefire way to garner some interest in an application would to actually put that she did work as a Sex Toy SalesWOman? Korea is conservative on the outside, but once you get in there are some surprising bits e.g. when I first went to have my hair cut (naturally at the spinning pole which means barbershop) or in advertising a new store opening with girls dancing in bikinis (wearing much less than Korean girls would ever wear at the beach).
I was there in 2006, but I have the feeling some things haven't changed.

I think that's the right approach.

Physically stimulating personal products. Or something equally obscure to most non-native speakers.

That reminds me of the episode on Sex and The City where Samantha buys a massager from a show and it stops working. She takes it back to the shop and starts shouting about how her vibrator has stopped working and the man working there looks horrified.
