I'm stuck in a HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE of a hagwon (I don't want to name it due to possible retaliation). I want to leave but I have a same-sex Korean partner and, since I'm American, I can't sponsor him for a green card to come with me to the US. So, I HAVE to stay with him in Korea.
I'm not sure I can get an LOR from my hagwon so, does anyone know how it works if I can't?
I know one person who left a job a little over a year ago and left the country, cancelled her ARC card on the way out and just reapplied immediately after getting home. Apparently it was no big deal and the fact that her original visa hadn't expired didn't matter since it was stamped cancelled on her exit from Incheon.
So, anyone have any more recent experiences? Is this still the case?
ALSO: Will any idea if I'll need a new FBI check or will the one I submitted a few months ago remain on file? |
