Did he grow up in the States? Does he have an American passport?

If so, he's American to me.

That's got nothing to do with as it's not about what he is to you. It's about what he is to Koreans. Ethnically Korean people from any country are considered Korean by Koreans. You (Captain Corea) will never be considered Korean - no offense!

When a Korean American does something stupid, the Koreans consider him American and the foreigners say he's Korean.

When a Korean American does something good, the opposite happens. It's funny how people use ethnicity and nationality to further their own cause.
