That's small but not abnormally so. Depends where. If it's in downtown Seoul it might be reasonable. I think in other cities you could probably find a much bigger room for a comparable price.

It's not the smallest I've seen, seems average or slightly under average. Looks like they forgot the bed...

It is unusually small, but at least it's a clean room in a relatively new building in a central location. I would ask what year the picture was taken and if the person who sent it can guarantee you'll get that exact same room.

Was it that clean when you got it? If so you got lucky in that category. You do have a bathroom, right? I would say it's a bit smaller than average, but I wouldn't worry about it. I once worked with a teacher who was forced to live in one of those super-small bed-sized rooms, because the director hated him.

Hogwan and public school housing, ranges from dirty, tiny, closet sized, barely furnished ratholes with a long commute on top, to modern apartments with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, full bath, fully furnished, walking distance to your school and a nice view.

One of the many downsides of living in a big city, like Seoul, is that you are more likely to have smaller, less desirable housing along with the noise, dirty air and a long, tiring commute.

For Seould it looks ok. If the job is good otherwise I would take it

Looks somewhat small. Most are at least a few feet longer and maybe slightly wider, even for Seoul. My officetel here in Yangcheon-gu os probably 1 meter wider and maybe 1.5 meters longer.

Honestly everyone I know that has taken the initiative and gone for the Key Money + Rent Subsidy offer that some places will let you do are happier. They feel better about finding their own place in a building they like and they're not simply trying to cut corners to save money like some employers do.

good lord thats small!
but i lived in nice areas outside of Seoul - Bundang and Ilsan - and paid 500won for a room literally 5 times that size, plus a loft. my friend has a place in Gangnam a little bigger than that and he pays 1000won.
