It suddenly dawned on me the other day that as American accents are preferable over in Korea, should it be assumed that American spelling is also going to be the standard?
I get annoyed on a daily basis by Word trying to correct realise to realize, colour to color, centre to center etc etc, should i be taking note of these and following american spelling only, or does it not really make a difference?
I'm currently studying TEFL and brushing up on my GCSE English basics, so i cna add American spelling to my list of things to revise as well if its worth it.
I've been reading this every day but it doesnt seem to be helping..

| They prefer North American accents; there are tons of Canadians here using the same spelling you do. |

| If you are from a country that uses British spelling, then use it. I always resist American imperialism whenever I can. |
