I have all my documents. The Apostille took about a week to obtain with the help of my representative. They really helped.

So now, I'm about to go on a shopping spree to buy some clothes for Korea this weekend, post my resume on this site, and email a ton of recruiters.

This might be a worthless question considering the motives of some Korean recruiters out there, but:

How many pages should a c.v. be?

I have three pages, single-spaced, size 12 font.

A better question: What is a tried-and-true curriculum vitae format for an American, first time (potential) E-2 holder, in need of a hagwon job immediately? What's absolutely necessary and what is required to at least land a job?


I can post my resume if it helps, but why do I feel nervous about doing that? Has anyone else gotten personalized resume advice on this forum?

More than 1 page is too much.

You're applying for a specific position. Only data related to or beneficial for that position should be included on your C.V when you apply.

Yup, one page. My CV for an EFL job is terrible compared to a CV I would send for a job in the UK. Just have a look around the internet for EFL CVs and some templates should pop up.

I started looking for a job in August - had all my documents ready and wanted to go asap. It took a while and I'm finally off next week!

Should I include my high school education history in my C.V.?

I'm thinking about this format
Personal Information: 1/6 page
Education: College, Scholarships, . High school info?
Awards: Publication history, etc., sports
Work: AmeriCorps NCCC highlights, volunteer service
Certifications: Red Cross, TEFL certs
References: "Call for excellent references" ...?

Any other advice?
