This video is from an iPhone/iPod app called "오빠 나야". It's basically a girlfriend simulator. You pick times at which you want her to "call", and she "calls" you at those times.

These probably won't be as enjoyable if you're a girl. Still, this is good listening practice.

---

Information about Mina from the 오빠나야 app:

Name: Mina
Birthday: 1987-06-06
Birthplace: South Korea
Age: 24
Blood Type: A
Height: 169 cm
Weight: 47 kg
Interests: Watching movies
Talents: Piano

Man, I watched the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIDb90vdorQ&NR=1 and now I want to meet that girl (the actor) and punch her in the face. How can any guys actually like girls that act like that (f-ing aegyo)? Cultural differences, I know, but geez...

that's what Korean guys like.

that's why they act like that.

I'd rather jump off a cliff than have to deal with such infantile nonsense.

that's why adjummas can often be much more interesting and even fun to talk to or hang out with. Now that they're married and much older, they actually start to act and talk like REAL women.

This^

Most men that like submissive little girls tend to be weak themselves.
Not all. Most.
Repulsive.
Why I only date western chicks.

One of our neighbors has a girlfriend that talks like that, except much higher and way louder.

For months, everyone thought there was a whiny toddler living there. Then one day a woman in her mid twenties walks out the door.

Don't know anyone puts up with that for more than a week. Some guys dig the submissive baby talk thing, but in most cases its just manipulative BS to get him to buy her stuff and then whine if he doesn't. It's usually the mark of lower class too. You won't see many educated ladies acting like that.

I saw the video. She reminds me of a nurse. All she does is remind the guy to eat. Laughing

So helpful. If it weren't for that app, everyone would just forget to eat and soon the country would starve! The spoon feeding was a nice touch.

Wink

I guess the app mimics what some of the girls actually do. Had a gf here like that once. Multiple texts every day:
"Did you eat breakfast?" "Yes, thanks."
"...lunch?" "Yes."
"Dinner?" "Yes. Of course."

5 days of that and I was about over it.
Then the Friday date:
"Eat a lot! Eat MORE...!"

Maybe this comes from the time several decades ago when they really WERE starving, and asking someone if they ate was a very important question for survival?

Yup. 'Someone' needed an aspirin after listening to all the high pitched whining.

Yeah, I had Mina as my phone gf for a while. She'd call me at lunch and at bed time. She was my alarm clock in the mornings. But then she got annoying, I kept hoping at some point we were going to take it to the next level and I was going to get a nipple shot or at least a look at her bum. But, no avail. Like more K girls, she's a tease.

While the article made me laugh sadly, your post just made me sad.
