how can i type in korean?

just bought a new laptop, and pressed the typical alt key on the bottom of the keyboard. it doesn't work. then, i went to control panel and added the korean language to the keyboard settings and it still doesn't work. can anyone help??

On each side of the space bar, between the ALT key and the space bar, there is a key labelled 한/영.
Or at least, there should be.
If there isn't, you probably need a new typewriter.

You probably just need to take your computer to a computer repair shop and tell them that you want to type in Korean.
That's what I did when I came to Korea.

You have to set it at keyboard and language to load Korean IME setting instead of US keyboard. after the it should work.

I just go to a website and type it there.. I never have to type more than a few words, if this is what you're looking for it's better than changing all your stuff

plus, it shows you what letters to type to get the Korean

Can you see the language bar?
