Thank you Zackback and No_hite_pls for your comments. My problem is I'm so without charm I can't even be bothered to listen to others speak. I just like to sit aloof in complete silence.

I will have to say something in class, otherwise the lecturers will note that I am the only one that isn't 'active' in class.

Yeah I know what you mean.
It's part of the ESL teaching though to show interest.
You and I detest that but hey man we have to put ourselves out there even just a little bit. Even this little bit of doing that drives me insane so by the time the day finishes I fly out the front door of the school and hit the groud running.

Yeah man, posts like these just seriously degrade the ESLCafe environment. I've asked mods to clamp down on these pathetic diatribes but as yet my e-mails go unanswered.

You know what the problem with enjoying sitting aloof in complete silence is, fromtheuk? Nobody on the Internet can see it.

How was Saudi? I feel like if I taught there for 2 years I would gouge my eyes out with plastic butter knives.

I loved it there in Saudi Arabia.

First lecture over, mainly young women on the course.
