That's weird that he would tell that one poster that it WASN'T the slim one when he wanted it. Must have multiple accounts, or a buddy. |

yeah. reminds me of this time my former co worker kept asking everyone to lend him money before the payday cause he was short, but he literally asked everyone he knew and then pulled a midnight run the day after...
wonder if this is what happened here too |

Hello friends,
I just want to say don't do these digital transactions. There are crooks everywhere, especially in korea (and koreans (What do you expect foreigners to be like?)). Make a little extra effort to do it hand-to-hand and check the item(s) out before you decide to buy. Just like in korean shops/stores/markets you decide when and what to buy. Don't feel pressured, bad or rude. If you get that feeling walk away. They lose the sale.
Peace. |

This kind of thing really gets my goat.
Here is most probably the guys twitter and facebook accounts
http://twitter.com/#!/CampbellMatthew
http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=508780010
If theres any way you can find him from there...
Both of them mention being in Daegu, so its a good bet its him.
It is kinda strange though. As far as i know... only reason to have a korean bank account is due to work
To work in korea.. need to jump through so many hoops. Including criminal background check etc. In korea also need genuine ID for almost everything. So, one of those foreign names is real and working in Korea.
All for a few hundred thousand won though... whats the point?
If the guy just went on a last minute trip then that just major douchebaggery to not even bother telling his buyers |

I contacted that guy on faceook already and he claims no knowledge of the transaction..
I'm in touch with the NPA now, so hopefully they'll be able to do something, if indeed the guy is still in Korea. |

I agree, there are crooks everywhere. However, i have bought and sold on Daves multiple times using bank transfers and for the most part been smooth transactions with honest people. I may be naive, but Id like to think this was an isolated incident and most people on daves are genuine honest people. |

apologies to the people on here. I was gonna buy it from him, but he was pretty set on me sending money and then after he recieved he would mail it. WHICH isnt a bad thing because i have sold and bought before BUT this guy was pretty much seeking the funds, so i backed out of it. he might have done a runner too and just bounced out. Regardless what he did is the act of a coward and a thief. and if anyone finds him, let us all know and we can give him a blanket party haha |

He signed a moving sale post from two years ago as "Robert" so Robert Boling probably is his real name. |

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There have been instances most recently of members being defrauded involving transactions arising from this forum.
While Dave's ESL Cafe assumes no responsibility or liability for such illicit activity, members are reminded to always exercise caution, good judgment and common sense when transacting business related to ads posted on this board.
Suspected criminal behavior should be reported both to the police and the Mod Team as soon as it becomes known.

Report this to the police. We can't assume responsibility or liability for illicit activity. Perhaps, the two who have been defrauded can both go to the police. We can't give legal advice. We can't be held responsible. We can only advise you to report this to the police and the mod team. |

That would make sense. Although he probably knew Matthew Campbell because it would at least throw people off and they would go after him instead. |

The user in question is no longer allowed to use this account as two people have alleged he has committed fraud. It is the responsibility of the users to be careful, to be alert, report things to the police, but Dave's does not take any responsibility or liability due to the immoral actions of certain individuals.
