I would wait. I think a large part of the success if the Ipad is due to the touch sensitive screen. If they cant duplicate that sensitivity then they will not have any long term success. Instantly anyone who touches Samsucks pad can tell it is second rate just be the lack of touch response.
Also, it will have to surf well and play Flash. |
So the Tab doesn't have a capacitive touch screen? I'm asking because two weeks ago I was playing with both the iPda 2 and the Tab 10.1 and I was very disappointed on the lack of response of the Tab - it literally took me 2-3 times to swipe from one screen to the next. Also, the lack of (a) hardware button(s) makes the Tab feel awkward, especially because I own a Galaxy-S and am used to the Android way of doing things. The tiny tiny soft button at the bottom of the screen is way to small for my German sausage fingers. |

| what do you mean by the "nook color"? I would like a kindle-type thing and was looking at the kindle fire.. but if you have a smarter idea then I'd like to know.. |
kmccoll,
this is the nook color.
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/nookcolor/index.asp
it's barnes and noble's 7 inch tablet but it comes with a highly customized version of android when it ships. however, it is ridiculously easy to convert it back to stock android and back again to its native android version when you need to. it has a great screen, expand-ability via an sd card slot, and is super cheap.
if you need a 7 inch tablet it's my recommendation unless you have a ton of cash to burn and get the latest samsung 7 incher which is over twice the price. |

Does anyone have experience purchasing one and having it shipped to korea? were you charged customs? I looked at the website to try and figure out shipping but wasn't really sure.. |

Hardware-wise, the thing is a piece of crap. Software-wise, it has nothing you can't download and use on any other tablet including the ipad.
But for 200 bucks it's not a bad deal...then again I doubt it will even be available in Korea FTL! |

| The killer for me is the fact that you get about 1/100th the battery life of a regular, black and white book reader. It's basically an under-powered tablet. Spend the extra 200kwon and get a decent Android tablet instead. |
