Considering the long history of Mac vs PC threads, I thought it fitting that this forum should have it's own thread.
I think Obama said it best: Steve Jobs changed the way each of us sees the world.
RIP Steve Jobs. |

I wasn't particularly a fan of his, but I hope he R.I.P. |

I'm surprised at how moved I am about this guy's passing.
- Macintosh
- Pixar
- OS X
- iPod
- iTunes > digital media distribution
- iPhone > smart phone revolution
- The Apple Store
- The App Store
- iPad > tablet revolution
- Macbook Air > "ultra" notebooks
What a legacy... |

Why would you be moved over Steve Jobs? He didn't do anything but sell you overpriced tech products. Would you care if the CEO of Sony or Nike died? People talk about the cult of Apple, and your grief only serves to support that theory. |

Do I really need to explain this to you? Google "Steve Jobs tributes" and do your homework.
And show some respect, for god's sake. If it wasn't for Jobs, you'd probably be lusting after a Samsung sliding phone right now. |

Show some respect? lol. He was a good businessman for sure, but he was not a martyr or a saint. You have your priorities all mixed up. |

Good job misreading everything I wrote and crapping on a thread dedicated to a guy who just died. Did Jobs have a secret affair with your wife or were you raised by wolves? |

If you are genuinely 'moved' over the death of a CEO of a multi-billion purely-for-profit corporation, I think that is a little sad. Did you have a secret affair with Steve Jobs? |

If I told you I did, would the world make sense to you again? Because you seem agitated and confused, and I hate to see people suffer... |

Nothing you have said so far makes sense to me. But, I do appreciate that he was hugely influential in the tech world. Will you be moved when the founder of Starbucks dies too? I don't understand how people can be so emotionally invested in commercial goods. |

This isn't about commercial goods; it's about a guy who helped to shape and redefine four different industries (Computing, Music, Movie, and Telecommunications) and died too young. Comparing Steve Jobs to the founder of Starbucks is, frankly speaking, completely retarded and doesn't merit a response. Trust me, you're the one who's not making any sense in this thread. Which cult do you belong to? |
