For future reference, does this mean there are no potential snags with immigration in your new town looking you up and seeing that you just dipped out on an E2 that hasn't even been cold for 2 days?

Do they not keep records or never have or they just don't care anymore?

No, immigration doesn't care if you quit as long as you leave. Labor standards are not their bailiwick and under the labor standards act quitting is your legal right.

Immigration is only concerned with immigration issues: entry, exit, status of stay and permitted activities within and the validity of your current status of sojourn.

Ttom, any idea about the quitting schedule I posted last page? What constitutes the "6 full months" that my contract states?

Whatever your employer wants it to mean. IF you plan a labor board fight over it then 6 calendar months from start of employment.

I have, however, seen employers take it from date of employment to date of notice (even if you work till after the 6 month mark) making it into a labor fight.

After dealing with my hagwon's BS about a number of things .......

On a warm summers evenin on a train bound for nowhere,
I met up with a lifer teacher; we were both too tired to sleep.
So we took turns a starin out the window at the darkness
Til boredom overtook us, and he began to speak.

He said, Son, Ive made my life out of readin hagwon bosss faces, And knowin what their cards were by the way they held their eyes.

So if you dont mind my sayin, I can see youre out of aces.
For a taste of your soju Ill give you some advice.

So I handed him my bottle and he drank down my last swallow.
Then he bummed a cigarette and asked me for a light.
And the night got deathly quiet, and his face lost all expression.
He said, If youre gonna play the hagwon game, boy, ya gotta learn to play it right.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.

Now evry old teacher knows the secret to survivin
Is knowin what to throw away and knowing what to keep.
Cause evry gigs a winner and evry gigs a loser,
And the best you can hope for is to die in Korea.

So when hed finished speakin, he turned back towards the window, Crushed out his cigarette and faded off to sleep.
And somewhere in the darkness the old Bobster, he broke even.
But in his final words I found an ace that I could keep.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away, know when to run.
You never tell nobody when youre runnin from the school.
Therell be time enough for tellin when the teachins done.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away, know when to run.
You never tell nobody that you're leavin'
Therell be time enough for tellin when the dealins done.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away, know when to run.
