I want to get to know Koreans who are interested in talking to Westerners. But I don't now how to meet them. Do you know of any events which bring together Koreans and foreigners?

Itaewon on a Friday/Saturday night is probably your best bet.

Besides that, there's various "English cafes" and the like, and I think some online meet-up groups that go on little jaunts together.

Yeah, not true. There are a few Seoul meet and greets that meet each month. I've been to a couple of them, and the atmosphere tends to be pretty friendly. I'll ask my buddy if the one he used to go to in Sinchon is still happening.

I don't know where in Itaewon you're going, but there are many, many places where it's easy to strike up conversations with Koreans, or at least to be introduced through other friends. In English. Not too many other places where you can do that in a non-structured (i.e. meet-up) setting. I mean, I guess you could try talking to a bunch of ajeosshi's at a sacheoltangjip at Nakseongdae, but I'd rather take my chances in Itaewon. Or you could walk up to someone at a bookstore or cafe, but personally I find that a little weird.

The OP asked for structured events. Structured events exist. Yes, you can meet Koreans in Itaewon (or at any foreigner bar in Gyeonggi). That said, it's not the "best bet", as there actually are events that fit what the OP is looking for.

You're right, I guess the OP was looking for something more structured. The Culcom cafes are a possibility then - it's primarily for Koreans interested in practicing their English, but they hold lots of social events as well.
