|
|
She is back! But in another home. And a name change.
Chewbacca is a sweet and adorable cat. She has all her shots and she is neutered. She likes spending time with a person, but it takes her a while to warm up to you. She can be quite vocal when she wants attention or water! She is playful and does well in a small apartment. She can be a little moody and quirky at times, but that is the nature of a cat. Please give this cute cat a home.

From my post at Animal Rescue Korea
Once again need to find a new home for my cat. Click on the link to get details about cat. Cat comes with all the extras, plus she does well in a one room apartment.
http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/cat/
Give me a call at xxxxxxxxxxxxx or message me.
I am the process of moving on from my current job. Like the eight ball "future is uncertain". So I want to start the process of getting my friend and major annoyance to a better place.
Animal Name : Echo (not often as it cause her to twitch for some reason) or Cat or Floppy or Breathalyzer.
City/Location : Daejeon
Breed : Mixed Short Hair aka Daughter of a Street Cat
Sex :Female
Spayed / Neutered : Spayed
Age : I think over 6 years old.
Size : Small - Medium
Health status/ vaccinations : Good Health and had shots last year.
Behaviour/Personality : A big scaredy cat. Yet still a friendly cat. An inside cat, who might venture a little outside but probably not. Takes time but will warm up to e apartment) or really wants something (feed me Seymour) she gets a bit vocal. A touch picky as she insists on being grass fed and hand watered and only Purina Cat Chow from the blue bag.
Rescue story : Ex-girlfriend fostered Echo from here, left Korea, left me the cat, then later left me. Echo has been moved around a few times I think. Her last home I think had a clingy child that cause her some twitches.
Contact : Skippy at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Other Notes:
I would prefer to find her a place here in Daejeon as I am likely going to be here in the future. I would like to be around to make sure she settled and if needed visit and or help out like cat sitting.
This cat comes with all the fixings and extras.
She has spacious plastic box with pillow and her favorite baby blanket.
A covered litter box. Flap is broken but attached with tape. It still works. Scoop too and plastic bags to use.
A cat tree about 4 or 5 feet tall. She never hides in the hidey hole mainly just perches on the top on it. Sometimes she scratches it to heck.
Various other items - like her favourite string, bowls, etc..
Will include a new large box of litter from Costco and a big bag of dry cat food. Likely some wet cat food too.
A carrier bag for visits to the vet and moving.
I will also be around to give instructions and details in giving her care.
Thanks to any and all. |

Honestly it might be for the best. I don't want to turn this into a moral debate but you said the cat has a twitch and is very shy. It seems scared and traumatized and the worst thing you could possibly do is put it in a situation in which it will just get worse. Being with you now is probably the best the cat has had or will ever have. Not every cat can be saved. |

I'm not in a position to adopt a cat, but I hope you find a home for your little lady. Don't forget to put up flyers at a place like Whatthebook in Seoul if you're starting to feel desperate.
Best of luck to you! |

The only really twitch is with her given name - Echo. She was owned by a Korean family for a short while that had a young daughter that used to pester the cat. When ever I say her name her tail twitches.
Hey people this cat comes with everything, plus help from me in the future... cat sitting, advice, moving, etc. |

Call me crazy, but why not just change the name of the damn thing? Seems like by keeping the same name, you're torturing it. |

I rarely to never call her Echo. I actually have no real name for her. I call her cat, Breathalyzer, or floppy. |

A better question is why the hell get a pet if you knew your future was uncertain? |

do you have a cat box for it?
you do know there are cat shelters around korea (EG daegu and Im pretty sure seoul) that will take it off you rather than getting it destroyed?
(those two sentences were unrelated btw...). |

Hey you are preaching to the choir here buddy. I see it all the time here in Korea. I really do wish some people would be more discerning about getting pets here in Korea. Yes sometimes some of the animals you see or find are such destitute wretches and western people really at times want to help or save them. You do have to harden your heart a bit.
But as commented below I did not want this cat. I like cats and will help take care of them. The ex-gf was the one who wanted it. Later when she went back home to oz, I thought she was coming back or I was going there, but broke up and I was stuck holding the cat. Actually this is the second time I have been the one holding the bag with a cat not of my choosing.
Hey it could be worse we could be talking about a child here. |

hey skippy, I seriously would like an answer to your post please. Im not being pedantic.
I would be prepared to travel all the way to Daejeon and take your cat to a shelter rather than you having it destroyed if you a/ have a cat box to carry it in and b/ dont want to bother taking it to a cat shelter yourself. Please let me know |

Thanks for the help. Still I am in Daejeon not Daegu it does confuse people at times. Thou I am wondering if "Daejeon Paws" will take cats. I looked at the animal rescue site and it looks like dogs only. Looked just know no. There is another shelter but it looks and sounds like it is very crowded. |
