Oldsurly, glad to read you're happy with your purchase. Like you, I'm a fan of Omega, especially the Seamaster Planet Ocean XL, but the only one I've been able to find retails for 7.6 million at Hyundai. Does Walkerhill sell this watch? Do you know what the duty rate is for US imports?

i have to agree with you here. why people buy big bulky diving watches when they never dive is beyond me. |

The Walkerhill does indeed have an Omega boutique. When I was in there looking at the Seamaster (non bond ver.) Chronometer, I did notice a Planet Ocean but, because I wasn't interested in it I didn't check the price. However, that being said I don't believe it will cost as much as you have seen at the department stores. I say this because the "regular" Seamaster Diver auto, when I was pricing them at Lotte in Meyoung-dong was running 4.1 million KRW but, at the Walker Hill duty free it was priced for 3.6 Million, if memory serves me correctly. As for duty taxes, when I declared my watch upon arrival I had to pay an additional 20%. When I order from polo.com and the order is over 150,000 KRW(I think) I have to pay 20%. So I assume the import taxes for stuff from the USA over a certain price is 20%. I was informed though by the customs agent that If I hadn't declared it and, they found it I would have paid 40% and they would have seized it.
