I've searched and found conflicting info.
I've just reserved an appointment to get my E-2 and the wife's F-3 extended after the end of my contract so that I can leave the country without being slammed for criminal negligence.
Anyhoo... where is this interview then if I selected Seoul Immigration office from the dropdown menu. I can't locate anything on the website that indicates where the office is at all. I found that Korea Immigration is at Gwacheon Govt. Complex but on this forum there are posts about something at Omokgyo.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for this. I don't want to find myself in the wrong building as I will be less than happy.

There are 2 offices in Seoul and the one you use is depends on where you live.
The main one at Omokgyo station and the other branch office is at Anguk station (serving those north of the river). |

| Omokgyo station go straight out of exit 7...keep walking straight and after about 5 minutes the road will curve around right. An Sk gas station will be on your left. then a large church that looks like an office building. from the church you'll be able to see the immigration office on the opposite side of the main road....also there should be lots of whiteys coming in and out....wish I had a map |

It is on a map.....a satellite map on 'Wikimapia.org'
Zoom into the mokdong area, and you'll see it marked on the map.
Anyone can add places to 'Wikimapia.org' |

No, Hyeon, I don't live south of the Han. I live north of the Pearl River in China.
I just wondered why a guy who's lived in Korea for so long had no idea where the Immigration office is in Seoul; that's all. Has he never been to Seoul? Never had to do immigration business there? Four to five years there and he has no clue? Odd ...
You two seem to be good friends. Well, good, I guess.
At any rate, direct Mr. Saint to the Seoul Immigration office ... I'm sure you can point him in the direction there ... |

You know what? You're an idiot. Yep, that's right, an idiot. Oh well, you'll get over it in about 5 years.
Anyway there are at least TWO immigration offices in Seoul. And there are a whole bunch more if you live just outside of central Seoul in the realm of Gyeongido.
I've been in Korea longer than him but my time in Seoul immi offices could be counted in minutes on the fingers of one hand. Seoul immi is neither the be all or end all of anyone here. |

I have people to go out for me 
this time though, they're in Taiwan. |

well i've answered my own question the hard way.
If you live in Yongsandong, you need to go to the main office at Omokgyo. If you live NORTH of yongsandong, you need to go to Sejongno.
Once there it only took a 90 minute wait before it was extended no questions asked. |

There are so many frickin' blogs written by morons that fail to mention the Sejongno immigration office near Anguk station and only mention the office at Omokgyo station in Mok-dong. I remember when I first got my ARC 4 years ago, I trekked all the way across town from Jungye-dong in Nowon-gu to Mok-dong only to realize that I was at the wrong office.
For the sake of all the newbies out there, could someone please clarify which Seoul immigration office - Mok-dong or Sejongno - should be visited for which districts? Obviously, based on the saint's experience above, the correct answer is NOT: north of Han River = Sejongno and south of Han River = Mok-dong.
Here's what I found on another blog and while this particular blogger doesn't seem like a moron, I haven't verified his information either:
There are two Immigration Offices located in Seoul. This page is about the Immigration Office at Anguk (Sejongno Branch) station in Seoul, north of the Hangang River. Anguk immigration office services people in the areas of Jongno-gu, Jung-gu, Eunpyeong-gu, Dongdaemun-gu, Jungnang-gu, Dobong-gu, Seongbuk-gu, Gangbuk-gu and Nowon-gu of Seoul. If your city / area is not on the list you must visit the Immgration Office at Omokgyo in Seoul. |

I live in Yongsan gu and went to Anguk yesterday to extend my visa. I waited about an hour and a half, my number came up, I went to the immigration official and she kindly informed me that I needed to go to Omokyo.
I agree with the poster who said that it isn't as simple as, "North of the Han go to Anguk, South of the Han go to Omokyo."
