| I have an idea. Find a dealership and walk by the window. They put prices on the top of the car on a thing that looks like a name plate. |

Base-model Avante or Soul start at around 15,000,000.
You can get brand new Kia Morning or Chevrolet Spark for as little as 8,500,000. |

Google is your friend:
http://avante.hyundai.com/index.html
Manual Avante without any added extras costs 13.4 mil. The automatic transmission will add 1.5 mil to the price already. Fully loaded one can go over 20 mil easily. Perhaps 22-23 I believe.
The SM3 is a bit cheaper. FIL low payed 15 for an auto transmission one with a couple of extras and navigation as well. |

Car prices vary, but most car dealers forget to mention the 2% acquisition tax.
Realistically you are looking at over 10,000,000 for a Morning or a Spark, and they are exempt from the acquisition tax. We were looking at about w15,000,000 for a Chevrolet Aveo or w16,000,000 for a Kia Soul.
Also if you don't have cash you can forget it, finance is only available to Koreans regardless of your Korean credit history, job, visa status or assets.
Actually Mercedes Benz, Orix and possibly KT Capital aren't racist, but you won't be getting 3.9% finance either. |
