What is expected of me in this situation?

I have zero teaching experience.
I will have to live inside their house.
This house is located in Manchester, England.
A rich doctor wants his family to know English, they just moved.
It will be super awkward.

Is this worth doing? I will make 3 times more money doing this for a year. Never been to England...

Is this the way to go?

Go for it! Laughing

Seriously, I wouldn't do it unless they send me a round trip tickect. If it's something that you didn't sign up for, you can always return after watching a few football games.

I, and a few friends, have all been offered that same job. It's a scam. Surely they would have found someone by now. Be safe.

This is probably an identity theft or advance fee scam. Very similar too good to be true job ads have been discussed before on this forum in the following threads:

The classic trick is to try to get you to front part of your airfare, it's been discussed before on Snopes (albeit usually involving cruise lines or corporate jets, not ESL nannies). Read about it here:

Does anyone have any immediate counter-spam ideas? I think the counter-spam should involve veterans of the Korean Job Discussion Forum.

Maybe we could really snag them. Any lawyers here?

I haven't paid anything yet BUT I sent him my name, birthday, resume (damn!) and a photo of myself, which MAY (big "if") have been taken when I was a minor (17?). Not sure.
