hey,
so i'm looking into doing some diving and another course during my winter break, but i'm having a hard time choosing.
ideally, i'm looking at somewhere i haven't been in southeast asia (been to thailand, malaysian borneo) that has good diving sites. i also don't want to go to a place that has huge prices (ie. bali). last thing, i want to find a country that has some famous places to visit as well (ie. a temple, national park for hiking, etc.). i don't want to solely do a diving trip, but i'd like to do a lot of diving during one of my weeks there.
suggestions please? |

| Palawan in the Philippines-- not that much 'temple culture', but NP and diving, all reasonably priced. |

| any opinions on how it is in cambodia? i really want to see the angkor wat temple, but i've heard conflicting reports on the vis in sihoukanville (and the islands) and about over-fishing down there... |

| Okinawa is supposed to have some good diving, it is close to Korea and is reasonable in price. |

I've heard good things about the city of Dumaguete in the Philippines, but have no experience with diving; however, according to wikipedia:
