I don't know if I should be posting this because lots of people are telling me not to worry about it but here it goes. So I'm ready to face the criticism and what not but I really want to know the truth. So here it goes.

I worked in Korea for 2 and a half years with a hakwon 2008-2010. Things started off good but my final 6 months of my last year there I was not getting paid on time and my pay was becoming less and less.

Some bad ends on my part is that I was being immature back then, did have a few drunken disturbances in Korea. One like kicking a guy's car (yeah I know classy). Long story short of all of this is I was never put in cuffs, never spent a night in jail, never charged, nor did I ever have to go to court. I was fingerprinted and I did sign off on some paper work that stated I was sorry.

My conservative former hakwon director who I thought I left on good terms doesn't want to give me a reference because of my incidences. She said I was a good teacher just a little bit of a party animal.

So my questions are....

What am I to do about not getting a reference

and will these blemishes keep me from getting a new E-2 visa

P.S. I'm willing to go the hakwon route again but really I'm trying to get into public. So let me know. Also I prefer to hear from people who have had my experience or those who know someone who have had my experience and are back in Korea with new visas.

And if anyone is wondering I don't drink anymore so I can say I've grown the f' up.
