1. What are the capital gains tax rates when invested in Korean securities (ie listed on a Korean stock exchange)?

2. What are the capital gains tax rates on a foreign security (listed on a US stock exchange)?

3. What are the capital gains tax rates on gold and silver ETF's? I heard there was a higher capital gain tax rate on these.

4. What are the capital gains tax rates on gold and silver mining companies? I heard there was a higher tax rate on these.

5. Is there a dividend tax in Korea?

Thank you

I suggest, assuming you are in Korea and not just investing here, that you ask the foreigner tax advocate at the NTS.

I second ttom.

Just to add to it, I keep some money in CD's at the bank, and when they mature and i withdraw them, the bank deducts the tax automatically. I did the math last time and it was something around 15%.

For what it's worth.
