Sam Lee was murdered in Indonesia recently. He leaves behind a wife in Seoul.
He was going to do teacher training down in Indonesia for Pearson Longman.
He worked at the Seoul office for Longman.
If anyone has information on the police finding the killer, please post. |

| It's a shame what happened to Sam. My heart goes out to his loved ones. He was a great guy with endless energy and enthusiasm. Sam deserves some attention, but expecting to find information on a murder in Medan, Indonesia on Dave's is a bit ambitious. |

Nope I got information. He was stabbed twice in the leg and died in a hospital.
It was reported in the Jakarta post.
People on the Indonesia board were helpful.
So I guess he bled to death.
I sent an e-mail to the US consulate in Medan. The cops are looking for the two killers.
Crime has been bad in that part of the island. Chinese people were targeted for robbery earlier this year. So this is also a hate crime since he was probably targeted due to his ethnic background, since he looked like he could have been Chinese. |

I wondered about that too.
I have his business card and it says Sam Lee.
I guess the police looked through his wallet and found that name on an ID.
Yes that is the article.
He is Korean-American, but maybe he went by two names. I think his spouse is Korean. |
