Howdy,
I was thinking about returning to Korea in the new year, and I was wondering if anyone could give me the scoop on Geoje-do? How many foreigners living there, any decent beaches, opportunity for outdoor sports/activities - stuff like that. Are there any Facebook or Yahoo groups for Geoje-do folk?
Cheers,
M.

Hi,
Lived on Geoje-do for approx 2.5 years. Its an excellent place to live. There are alot of foreigners on the island between teachers and engineers at the two ship yards. The numbers of teachers is increasing each year. There are a number of great beaches (sand and pepple) and they're easily accessible, a number of us used to go to the beaches in the mornings before work. There's alot of hiking, a scuba diving club, hashers, hang gliding and boating amoung more. You also have your general football, running, rock climbing etc.
There are a few pages on facebook, search geoje and you get them. |

Thanks for the info, I'm on the Facebook group now. Fingers crossed I can find something for early 2012 - I'd love to be cruising around Geoje on a scoot! |
