I imagine if you phoned them and set up a subscription they would deliver to you.

most convenience stores carry them in the larger cities at least. some offer subscriptions as well. check the respective websites for subscription info.

For foreign English newspapers, you can pick up the FT Asia and the Wall Street Journal in certain places in Seoul.

Careful with some of the Korean papers. Their biased reporting has been well documented.

I want USA or UK papers, can't believe there is no newsagent that sells them in Seoul, anyway I'll make do with the Korean Times.

You can get the International Herald-Tribune delivered and at various places in Seoul. It's an international publication of the New York Times. Not exactly what the OP is looking for, but better than other offline options. It comes with the Joong Ang Daily which is better than the KT or Herald.

Ya I used to get this about a year ago. It wasn't too bad, less than 30k a month.

The Family Mart right next door to the Foriegn restaurant in Itaewon sells all the English language newspapers including The International Herald. This is on the street directly off of Itaewon across the street from that huge hotel. The only other place that I know of are Central City Bookstores and some of the vendors.

Only the really big book stores like Kyobo or Yongpoong(?) have an selection beyond Korean or Asian versions of international ones. Next,
best place to try is 4 star and up hotels.

Now on to the rant!

Really! I will admit I am not impressed with the Times and Herald. Both adequate but not impressive.

But wanting foreign papers here - really?! Two things

Do you understand you are in another country?

Have you heard of this thing called the Internet?

Why not get a subscription to the online site.

Yes I understand holding an ipod or reading on a laptop is not as nice as reading from a paper.

Actually I do believe most newspapers will deliver but it will cost you money and time.

Why sell foreign papers here - it would be a loss galore. Yes I want to set up a business that will sell a product is only viable for one day - maybe two or three days if lucky to a market of less then 1 percent of a less then 1 percent of people will buy.

Why don't you try looking for a nice news magazine subscription - maybe a bit better. I been tempted to get a subscription to the Economist. Maybe this year I will.

um yes i understand i am in a foreign country. but i like to collect newspapers when big events happen. like 9/11. and the death of osama bin laden and ghaddafi.

and when those kind of things happen, i want to buy the most relevant newspaper. like the NYT or the Wash. Post.

so that's why i want to buy a foreign paper in korea. stop complaining.

The weekends are not the same without real newspapers. The Guardian on Saturdays and The Sunday Times and The Observer on Sundays. Old habits die hard I guess.

You can also try the Korean Herald and the Korean Times online too. Those papers do have a bias. I've heard from one of my expat friends that they won't say anything bad about some schools in Korea.
